Thank you all for your support on yesterday's Crossroads // 2013 Blog Direction post. I appreciate all the messages and comments regarding the matter; blog direction/possible blog name change. I agree with all of you, blogs should have a wide range of topics.
Rachel from Life Unsweetened said it best, "I love blogs that post on a variety of topics- otherwise it gets boring" - so true. I guess my dilemma was feeling that a blog with the name "baking" should mostly feature pies, cupcakes, tarts etc. But, you've all made me feel that that's not true.
Thank you Claire from Cinnamon & South for saying, "If you don't think your blog name reflects the main themes you want to cover (in this case, cooking and style) I would consider changing it. Having said that though, I really like your blog name and if you want to attract readers who are interested in either of those two topics, the name is perfect!" - you're right. Just because I want to include other topics doesn't mean that I'm straying from my two main passions; cooking and style.
Cooking to me is making healthy dishes, hearty meals, cultural cuisines, along with baked treats. While style to me is the way one chooses to artistically express themselves. Whether that's what they like to wear, wish to buy, decorate, or even how they choose to do their hair and makeup.
Having said all that thanks again for all your support. I hope you like all the eclectic cooking and style posts to come in 2013 along with whatever other topics rattle my busy-bee mind. {image source}
