During my undergrad at USC I took a stage makeup course where I learned many beauty tricks. Shaping my eyebrows has proven to be the most useful. Until recently I had been accustomed to visiting a salon for this basic beauty upkeep. But, as a graduate student my days are jam-packed, leaving me no extra time. I've gone back to shaping my own brows, which I'm actually learning to love. I no longer have to deal with the hassle of booking appointments and on top of it I've saved a ton.
Aside from makeup remover, alcohol, cotton balls, and my daily powder foundation I also use the following items: 1.Anastasia Eyebrow Brush 2.Shadow Matching My Hair Color: MAC Charcoal Brown Matte 3.Black Eye Liner 4.Eyebrow Sissors 5.Good Grip Tweezers 6.Concealer Brush 7.Concealer
Step 1: Brush your brows upward toward the highest point and then brush down.
Step 2: Mark your brows with a black eyeliner pencil. I believe it's best to mark your brows by following your natural shape. First mark the top and bottom of your brow closer to your nose. Scale the distance between the two dots based on your preferred brow width (thicker is better). Mark the top of your natural arch, and then the bottom making sure to match your width. Mark the furthest point.
Step 3: Using your brow shadow and brush connect the dots.
Step 4: Brush your brows upward and tweeze any hairs below the line. Follow by brushing downward and tweeze any hairs above the line. Take your time. If you are uncertain about any hair just brush your brows back to place and took into the mirror to see if your should remove it.
Step 5: Trim your brows if needed. Start by brushing your brows upward. Snip only the very ends of the longest hairs. Do not trim all the brows.
Step 6: Remove the makeup and clean the area with alcohol. When done repeat step 1.
Step 7: Using your concealer and brush lightly brush across the bottom and top of your brows.
Step 8: Blend in the concealer with powder foundation.
Step 9: Color in your brows. Start by outlining your shape and then fill it in.
